Chemical Synthesis of Magnetic Nanoparticles

Everett Carpenter, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VT

Synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles requires the ability to nanoparticles which have uniform size, aggregation and magnetic properties. Chemical synthesis methods can control these effectively through careful understanding of the parameters of growth. A review of the available chemical synthesis techniques will be presented focusing on the most versatile and successful techniques.
